The Rule of Three

Quote: “Of course I knew some of the kids from school or soccer or baseball, but I was almost shocked by how few people I did know when it came right down to it. And it wasn’t just people a street or two over, but neighbors right on my street whom I’d never gotten to know before this.” (pg. 121)
I think that this quote is memorable because it shows that you never really get to know, or even meet the people around you since everyone has a busy everyday life. In The Rule of Three the main character, Adam realizes this after a disaster strikes. Where all things that depend on a computer don’t
. work anymore and that leads to a bunch of outbursts. So each community has to stick together and people start to get to know each other. This quote illustrates that a tragedy can bring people together.

What I can’t regret is the way I got so free and clear.” pg. 173 This was said in by the main protagonist, Chase Ambrose, in the book Restart, written by Gordon Korman. This quote was him talking about how he got out of trouble. There was trouble in the band room and he accidentally bashed a kid in the head with a fire extinguisher in the midst of a fight. So Chase got out of trouble and regretted that. That’s why I think it’s memorable. In the book, Restart , by Gordon Korman, the main character loses all of his memory after falling off of his roof.Then, Chase becomes a whole different person. This quote talks about how Chase got out of trouble from accidentally bashing a kids on their head with a fire extinguisher. And it bothers him that he got no punishment. I

Christopher Caswell "There's only one me." Chase Ambrose pg. 223 I like this quote because it shows Chase taking credit for the actions of his past self.Chase used to be a bully, trouble maker, and a criminal. But since his fall off his roof, he's changed. He's a nicer person, and he feels guilty about what he did in the past. But he takes responsibility for it. That's why I like this quote. At this Moment in the book he's admitting to the character Mr. Solway that he stole his medal of honor. He also didn't drag his two former friends down with him, even though they tried their best to keep him from returning it.
