Brianna Horwath
"The immense dragon loomed head, neck, and shoulders above the walls of the keep. His flawless armor of platinum scales made him look like a much bigger, bulkier version of his son... Celebrant was heavily muscled, with impressive horns sprouting from his head. 'Now, that is a dragon,'"
I chose this quote because I thought it exemplified most of the plot of this book. Celebrant, the dragon king, is beautifully described as a majestic and impressive creature that invokes fear in the hearts of mortals. It shows how well the author is at painting an image in the reader's head. It also works as an omen, telling you how dragons were going to be shown as characters and as a species. In addition to all that, the last sentence gives you a little bit of insight on Seth's personality, one of the main characters in the book. Overall, I think my quote was well-written and thought out, and even after reading all of Dragonwatch, this quote remains my favorite part of the book.
