“Now she took in the view one last time: it wasn’t much, but she’d never see it again.” - Pg. 1
As I read Midnight at the Electric, I found many memorable quotes. This one in particular stood out to me because I felt it had the most meaning and history. Adri has grown up in Miami, and had lived there her whole life. Her parents were killed in the floods, she was alone, but it had always been her home. It was almost like the reason she stayed was because it felt like the last piece she had of her family, and now she was leaving forever. So for the very last time she looked out at it, her entire life reflected back.
