“You can't run away from who you are, but what you can do is run toward who you want to be.”
This quote is important because he knew he wanted to be something and he vowed to stay out of trouble but even though he made mistakes he fixed them so he could continue on his “run” towards success. One of the many mistakes that he had to fix was Stealing the Track Shoes from the store. This is why I find this quote important in the book Ghost by Jason Reynolds.

What I can’t regret is the way I got so free and clear.” pg. 173 This was said in by the main protagonist, Chase Ambrose, in the book Restart, written by Gordon Korman. This quote was him talking about how he got out of trouble. There was trouble in the band room and he accidentally bashed a kid in the head with a fire extinguisher in the midst of a fight. So Chase got out of trouble and regretted that. That’s why I think it’s memorable. In the book, Restart , by Gordon Korman, the main character loses all of his memory after falling off of his roof.Then, Chase becomes a whole different person. This quote talks about how Chase got out of trouble from accidentally bashing a kids on their head with a fire extinguisher. And it bothers him that he got no punishment. I

Christopher Caswell "There's only one me." Chase Ambrose pg. 223 I like this quote because it shows Chase taking credit for the actions of his past self.Chase used to be a bully, trouble maker, and a criminal. But since his fall off his roof, he's changed. He's a nicer person, and he feels guilty about what he did in the past. But he takes responsibility for it. That's why I like this quote. At this Moment in the book he's admitting to the character Mr. Solway that he stole his medal of honor. He also didn't drag his two former friends down with him, even though they tried their best to keep him from returning it.
