I believe that this is important because when the Americans and the British were going to bomb Vermok, the facility where the Germans were assembling nuclear bombs. They had gotten to the facility to fast and were supposed to be dropping twenty minutes later, so the captain said circle over the north sea so the workers would be in the basement at lunch for less civilian casualties. This is why I believe this quote important.
