“It upset him now to think of it-how he’d done that to his dog-and he started scouting for water, trying to make it up to her.” p.123

On page 123 of Lottery Boy, The main character, Bully, feels bad for his dog and tries to make it up to her because she’s been through troubling things the past few days. I believe this is important because it shows the friendship between them. Without this friendship Bully would have harder challenges emotionally. Facing the surviving challenge was hard enough by itself through the entire book. Jack, the dog, is a very important character in the book that loves her owner who loves her back.
