“When you stop playing the game, you've already lost.” pg.93

What I think the narrator is trying to say is that if you give up halfway through, it's not worth trying. From playing basketball, I can not only closely relate to this quote, but this book. You need to put in your full effort for the entire game. If you do not plan on playing the game from start to finish, you will lose. In other words, it doesn't matter if you put forward all you've got for the first half of the game if you give up in the third quarter.
