Strike Three You're Dead By, Josh Berk

Quote: "Like a fastball getting mashed by a slugger." (page 239)

I think this quote is memorable because it stands out like a red flower in a dark forest. You notice it and you can't forget about it. You just read it and you imagine it's happening to you, all in slow motion and it just replays over and over in your head, like a broken record.

Laila Vazifdar “Orange sparks stream through a gap in the door as the car slams into the side of the shat with a terrible scraping, grinding sound." p.128 The quote is important because it describes the first part of the 9/11 attacks and what someone who was inside the building would have experienced. The quote describes a scene where the elevator is falling for an unknown cause which we later find out is terrorist attacks. The sentence has significant detail as the scene can really be pictured here.

Jason Lemos “I almost say, ‘ Not really.’ But that wouldn’t be true. I could easily be buried under a mudslide of pain right now, and I’m not. I can’t regret that. What I can’t regret is the way I got so free and clear.” pg. 173 This was said in by the main protagonist, Chase Ambrose, in the book Restart, written by Gordon Korman. This quote was him talking about how he got out of trouble. There was trouble in the band room and he accidentally bashed a kid in the head with a fire extinguisher in the midst of a fight. So Chase got out of trouble and regretted that. That’s why I think it’s memorable. In the book, Restart , by Gordon Korman, the main character loses all of his memory after falling off of his roof.Then, Chase becomes a whole different person. This quote talks about how Chase got out of trouble from accidentally bashing a kids on their head with a fire extinguisher. And it bothers him that he got no punishment. I

Christopher Caswell "There's only one me." Chase Ambrose pg. 223 I like this quote because it shows Chase taking credit for the actions of his past self.Chase used to be a bully, trouble maker, and a criminal. But since his fall off his roof, he's changed. He's a nicer person, and he feels guilty about what he did in the past. But he takes responsibility for it. That's why I like this quote. At this Moment in the book he's admitting to the character Mr. Solway that he stole his medal of honor. He also didn't drag his two former friends down with him, even though they tried their best to keep him from returning it.
